The Senior Management Team


The Principal

The Principal has overall responsibility for the management and leadership of the school. He is delegated by the Board of Trustees to make sure that the National Curriculum and the Board's policies and budgets are followed. He ensures that students and staff have a safe and healthy environment in which to work. The Principal also organises Professional Development Programmes for the staff that ensures they have the latest educational information available to them.

The Deputy Principal's Role:

This position is released. As well as supporting and assisting the Principal some of the other specific tasks are:
Curriculum Management: Whole-school planning, delivery and monitoring of the curriculum and assessment.
Pastoral Care: Whole school relationship management, Shine.
Senior Syndicate Management: Years 4 - 6. Teachers, staff and pupils, Curriculum delivery, professional development and administration meetings and student welfare.
Classroom Manager: Planning, Reporting and Assesment Programmes
Day-to-day Organisation: Whole-school timetables, assembly and administration.
ICT: Assist with management and organisation of resources and use.
Books In Homes co-ordinator. Teacher release as required.
Successmaker: Organise school programmes.

Assistant Principal's Role:
Currently released one day a week.
Classroom teaching 9am -3.00pm.
As well as supporting and assisting the Principal, other specific tasks are:-
Curriculum Management: Junior school planning, delivery and monitoring of the curriculum.
Performance Management: Appraisal for Year 0 to 3 teachers.
Junior Syndicate Management: Years 0-3. Teachers, staff and pupils, Curriculum delivery, professional development and administration meetings and student welfare.
Day to day Junior school organisation.
