Term 2

Talofa and welcome back to another exciting term. I hope you all had a wonderful easter break and I am sure that the children are pleased to be back at school so that they can all get on with their fantastic learning!

This term we will be studying Electricity for our topic unit and the children will be learning all about circuits, energy, electrons, atoms... and so much more, so watch this space for photos and work that the children will be doing throughout the term about Electricity.

In Writing, we will be learning about different forms of poetry and narrative writing as well as revisiting how to write explanations. For Maths we will be looking at identifying, describing and drawing 3D shapes in Geometry as well as continuing with consolidating Numeracy skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

So much is happening this term, so keep checking our web page to read up and see all the new and wonderful learning happening in Room 12. Please also remember, that our doors are always open to you the parents, families and friends of Avondale Primary School, so if  and when you can, drop in and be part of your child's learning!
